Airport Assault Case Against Former NFL Player Dismissed!

Written by on July 15, 2022

Former Denver Broncos defensive back Brendan Langley is breathing a bit easier now that his airport assault case was dismissed on Wednesday. Court officials determined that Langley “used force that was reasonably necessary” during the viral altercation with a United Airline at Newark Liberty International Airport back in May.

The airline worker harassed the former NFL player, called him names, and got physical first. Langley was simply defending himself, according to his attorney. Langley was initially arrested and charged with simple assault. The United employee was fired for his involvement.

Langley, a Denver Broncos third-round draft pick in 2017, had just signed on to play wide receiver for the Calgary Stampeders when the video came out. The Stampeders suspend him indefinitely over the fight. No word yet if they’re now reinstating him following Wednesday’s decision in court.
