In a recent interview, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson publicly announced that his production company, Seven Bucks Productions, will no longer use real guns on the sets of any of its productions. Instead, they plan to use rubber guns. His pledge comes from just one month after cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot last month on the Rust film set by actor Alec Baldwin, who was told that his prop gun did not contain live rounds.
The Rock stated: “Any movie, any television show, or anything we do or produce — we won’t use real guns at all. We’re not going to worry about the dollars; we won’t worry about what it costs…First of all, I was heartbroken. We lost a life. My heart goes out to her family and everybody on set. I’ve known Alec, too, for a very long time.”
