Active Shooter: Total Of 7 Police Officers Shot, 1 Fatally In South Carolina

South Carolina, 7 law enforcement officers were shot, one fatally according to multiple news reports. Not much is known about why this happened however, the suspect has been apprehended.
What we do know is the shooter had the advantage and took law enforcement by surprise with the massive amount of firepower. The shooter barricaded himself with children for about 2 hours.
Law enforcement officers were going to serve a warrant at around 4pm and that is when the suspect opened fired.
The suspect was taken into custody Wednesday night and there is no update on the surviving officers current conditions.
The officer that was killed was with law enforcement for 30 years.
