City Of Rochester Partners With Local Organizations To Offer Healing And Support For Armory Concertgoers

After the fatal crowd surge that took the lives of three women and injured others at the Main Street Armory on Sunday concertgoers and their friends and families have a way to start the healing process with Ubuntu Healing Circles.
The City of Rochester has partnered with licensed mental health professionals to offer this free service to victims so they can work through and process their trauma and grief.
Alia Henton-Williams, of the City of Rochester Crisis Intervention Services and Melanie Funchess, the CEO and Principal of Ubuntu Village Works made the announcement Thursday.
The in-person sessions will take place at the Honorable Loretta C. Scott Center for Human Services at 57 St. Paul St.

Healing circle sessions will take taking place on the following days and times:
- 2 – 3 p.m., Sunday, March 12; Virtually
- 5 – 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 15; Virtually and in-person at 57 St. Paul St.
Individuals seeking immediate mental health support are encouraged to call the City’s Crisis Intervention Services or PIC team at 211, or they can contact the 24/7 Mental Health Hotline at 988.
