A new bill introduced in Massachusetts is making some noise.
The bill would allow incarcerated people that donate bone marrow and organs to get a chance to be released early.
The “Bone Marrow and Organ Donation Program” was introduced by 2 state representatives Carlos Gonzales and Judith Garcia.
If inmates choose to participate in the program they could have their prison sentence reduced between 60 days and a year.
There’s a long waiting list for people in need of organs and in the state of Massachusetts alone 4,000 people are currently on the list.
