NYS AG James asks Court to Order Gun Distributors to Stop Selling Ghost Gun Parts

Written by on July 28, 2022

Last month, New York Attorney General Letitia James took action by filing a lawsuit accusing 10 gun distributors of fueling the gun violence crisis. This lawsuit is to prevent national gun distributors from selling and bringing illegal ghost gun parts into the state. Now, AG James is taking action to the court. James filed a motion in early July for a preliminary injunction against six of those gun distributors that were caught red-handed when they sold and shipped unfinished frames and receivers to undercover investigators.

AG James stated: “Every single day, people across the country are losing their lives to gun violence. We cannot and will not allow our children and our communities to continue to live in fear that their school, parade, or grocery store will be next.”
