President Obama’s Summer Playlist #Newat2
Written by Jazzy T on July 27, 2022
It’s time for an annual summer tradition in America, the reveal of President Obama’s Summer playlist. Once again our “Forever President” has his finger on the pulse of what’s fresh in hip hop and R&B.
Given the close relationship the President has with Queen B and Jay Z, it’s not surprising that the party starts with the leading single from Beyonce’s Renaissance album “Break my Soul”.
A #Newat2 artist Doechi, who made her prescence felt during the Covid lockdown, also caught Obama’s attention. Her first single “Persuasive” featuring SZA made it on the list!
Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together.
Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add? pic.twitter.com/9OgPq0SRy4
