Is Your Cat A Psychopath?

Here is something that might make you laugh or possibly side-eye your cat. A group of scientists did a study that shows cats could be psychopaths. Yep, you read that correctly if cats were people they would be considered a psychopath.

At least for me from my experiences it explains a lot when it comes to cats. My mom had a cat that definitely was a psychopath she terrorized everyone. Have you ever had an experience with a cat that you felt you had to watch your back when you are around them? That cat has psychopathic tendencies.

According to the research conducted by scientists at the University of Liverpool in the UK conducted a survey with pet owners. The survey is based on human psychological standards to rate the level of the cat’s psychopathy. It rates boldness, meanness, pet-unfriendliness, and human-unfriendliness in cats.

The survey asked cat owners if their cat tortures their prey or kills it right away. If the cat dominates the neighborhood and home basically is your cat a bully. It also rates if your kitty is undeterred by punishment and continues bad behaviors.
