28 years ago convicted child killer Eric Smith killed a three-year-old Derrick Robie in steuben county was granted parole last week after being denied 10 different times over the years.

For those who are unfamiliar with the case this was a nationl story back in the early nineties were Eric Smith smashed a 4 year old Derrick Robie head with a rock and then sodomized the boy with a stick.
The district attorney who prosecuted the case John Tunney, said in the past he thought Smith could have been on his way to being a full-on serial killer.
I feel Eric Smith should not have been granted parole. I found an old news article from 1994 that supports why I feel the way I do.
