The highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 ‘Black Panther,’ titled ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ is expected to be released on July 8, 2022. Letitia Wright, who plays Shuri, T’Challa’s younger sister, was hospitalized after an accident on the set of its sequel, but now according to Angela Bassett, Wright is doing well.
Angela Bassett stated: “She had a little bit of a fall, but it’s not too bad. You know, anything like that will shake you up, but she’s just a little, slight, little petite thing. But she is fine and ready to go.” Bassett didn’t continue to comment on the instant, however, it sounds like they are back on track.
Angela Bassett also commented on what filming is like without the legendary Chadwick Boseman, who became known for his portrayal of King T’Challa in the original film and passed away last year at age 43 after battling colon cancer. Bassett stated: “Every day is just a testament and a love fest for our dear [Chadwick Boseman].”
