What’s Coming to the Rochester Area

From new buildings to new businesses, renovations to reopenings, there is lots to get caught up on and keep track of in the Rochester area. If you have been to the city in the last year, you probably have noticed construction continuing, despite the pandemic. Most visible change and development, from Midtown to the former eastern Inner Loop, construction also has rolled on in surrounding neighborhoods and towns.

For businesses, new eateries have opened, along with a small market and more at Sibley Square on East Main. In a statement from Mayor Lovely Warren; “To actually have people sitting, and having lunch and dinner on Main Street, 10 years ago we didn’t think it was possible.” Butler/Till is also in construction on a $24 million, five-story building that will house offices and 28 apartments that are nearing completion on the Midtown block. In terms of housing, the $38 million overhaul of the former Xerox Tower into student housing and a high-tech business incubator.
