$3.5 Billion For New York State Renter And Small Business Assistance

Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday there is $3.5 billion in assistance for renters and small businesses available for New Yorkers. But only if you are experiencing financial hardships from the COVID-19 Pandemic.
If you rent and you have notices from your landlord of nonpayment due to the pandemic click here for information. You can also find more information and how to apply to the NYS Emergency Rental Assistance Program click here.
If eligible, you could receive up to 12 months of arrears rental payment and 12 months of utility assistance. You may also qualify for 3 months of additional assistance for rent.
There are a few other qualifications needed, so make sure to click on the links for more information if you need rental assistance. The applications were available starting on June 1st.
