We are starting to learn more about the new album DMX that is due out Summer 2021. He recently reunited with Def Jam and completed the album before his death on April 9.

Following his 2020 Verzuz battle with Snoop Dogg, DMX returned to the Greater Los Angeles recording compound to work on his final project.

During a video interview on the “People’s Party” With Talib Kweli, he reveals a list of heavy-hitters that will appear on the new album.

“I have more features. More artists than I’ve ever had on any of my albums. I gotta say: Swizz did his thing; I love him to death, man. I appreciate the confidence that he had in me and the dedication that he’s given to this project. It’s a blessing to have people that love you” DMX said.

Among the list of artists said to be featured on the album are Snoop, Usher, The LOX, Nas, Scarface, U2’s Bono, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Griselda and the late Pop Smoke.

In addition to new music, we can expect to see new footage of DMX in his final days, as he was planning a fatherhood-based reality series, where he was reconnecting with his kids and introducing children to each other. An HBO documentary was reportedly also filmed before X’s passing.
