Wake Up Club Off-Air Discussions: A Teachable Moment Regarding Race

So this morning we had a discussion on-air during the Wake Up Club with Tariq, myself (Reign), and DJ Sight that prompted a listener to call in to express her thoughts. She didn’t agree with how we talked about race and the terms we used like we and them or us and them and felt we should not make things about race.

We decided as a team to have a teachable moment because we wanted her to walk away with a better understanding of why we discuss race as we do. We are here to help plus bring different perspectives and the discussion was with love.
