CDC Announced New Guidelines For Vaccinated Individuals

The CDC has just announced that fully vaccinated citizens can go back to their lives.
Under the new rules, vaccinated individuals can visit other vaccinated people indoors without masks or social distancing, see unvaccinated people from a single household if the unvaccinated person is at low risk for severe disease. In addition to that, if they are exposed to someone with COVID-19 but stay symptom free, they don’t have to get tested or quarantine for 2 weeks.
Former CDC Director Tom Frieden gave a statement, saying:
“It’s science based. It’s sensible. You can hug your grandkids again. If you’ve been waiting to get a haircut, see the dentist, you can do that.”
New COVID cases in the US are down to around 60,000 a day, but these numbers still represent a percentage of people who will die from the virus. The cases will only increase as states begin to lift their mask mandates and social distancing restrictions before a reasonable number of the citizens have been vaccinated.
President Biden will be delivering his first prime-time address on Thursday. The address will hopefully boost morale across the country as he showcases the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief package.
