Beyoncé dropped a new song & video a day before Super Bowl 50 called “Formation” that say’s I’m here, I’m me, I love my who I am, what I represent, and I love my people. #unapologeticallyblack

The video kicks off with Big Freedia representing Louisiana (the Queen Diva of the New Orleans Bounce) I was beside myself with excitement yessssss!! Beyoncé takes it back to her roots shooting in Louisiana mentioning Katrina, referring to her upbringing, touching on the Black Live Matter movement, and empowering women. The video is visually powerful and the song (co-written by Swae Lee of Rae Sremmurd) is full of black pride!

Queen Bey said #checkmate. Strategically, the timing on the release of this song is perfect being that it’s black history month and this year marks the 50th anniversary of the Black Panther Party thus the all black and berets in her Super Bowl Performance .

If you have not seen the video click Formation.

This leads me to ask one question could Beyoncé be the modern day James Brown? After her performance at Super Bowl 50 I would say YES… Bey came through to slay.

Oh yeah and she announced her tour! Beyonce.com

I’m black and I’m proud
