Due to a “Steady increase of in the number of positive COVID-19 numbers on campus,” St. John Fisher College will be transitioning to a remote learning environment for the rest of the semester.
College officials released a statement that read:
“In addition, our most recent wastewater surveillance results show an increase in the presence of SARS-CoV-2 (the causal agent of COVID-19) in the residence halls. While the number of confirmed cases does not meet the New York state threshold that would require us to take further action, we remain focused on the safety and well-being of our students, employees, and the surrounding community. Therefore, we have decided to transition to remote instruction for the remainder of the fall semester.”
