Derrick Chauvin Asked A Judge To Dismiss His Charges In George Floyd Case

The former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, requested that a judge and the Minnesota attorney general dismiss his murder and manslaughter charges connected to the death of George Floyd back in May.

Derrick Chauvin attorney argued that George Floyd was resisting arrest by the time Chauvin arrived on the scene putting himself and the others in danger.
Three other Minneapolis police officers were also arrested in connection with the death of George Floyd.
Derrick Chauvin has had 18 complaints against him is his 19 years as a police officer.
