NYS Assembly Passes Automatic Voter Registration Legislation

How would you feel about being automatically registered to vote when you go get your license at DMV?
There is a real possibility that it will happen in the next couple of years. The New York State Legislature passed automatic voter registration in New York State.
Under the legislation, you would be automatically registered to vote when you use qualified government services. For example, DMV, Department Of Labor, or NYS Department of Health. Voter applications would be electronically integrated into the paperwork you fill out for services.
If Governor Andrew Cuomo signs the legislation it would go into effect Jan. 1, 2023.
Automatic Voter Registration was introduced to make the voter registration process easier.
