Written by on July 7, 2020

Dunkin’ Donuts now known as Dunkin’ will be closing 450 of its stores by the end of 2020. If you love Dunkin’ do not panic the locations that are closing are the ones in Speedway gas stations.

Dunkin’ terminated the coffee chain’s partnership with Hess thus the reason for the hundreds of locations closing. Speedway bought Hess back in 2014.

The coffee chain is shifting its focus to larger individual cafes for a more modern experience with a better menu.

“By exiting these sites, we are confident we will be better positioned to serve these trade areas with Dunkin’s newest Next Generation restaurant design,” said Dunkin’s Chief Finacial Officer, Kate Jaspon. She also said Dunkin’ is committed to growing its presence in places like airports, universities, and military installations.
