When Dogs Attack

One of my biggest fears is going to somebody’s house and being attacked by their dog. Most dog owners will say “Don’t worry he or she won’t bite” and boom the dog is locked to my ankle.
I couldn’t imagine being a postal worker having to deal with that every day not knowing what you’re going to run into delivering mail. According to reports thee were at least 19 cases of postal workers attacked by dogs in the Rochester area last year.
The United States Postal Service reports show there were fewer attacks Nationwide down by 200 from 2018 to 2019.
The United States Postal Service put in place a few different safety measures to prevent attacks on postal workers, like putting stickers on mailboxes to alert postal workers that there’s dog in the area.
I don’t know how I would handle the fear of avoiding being attacked by dogs everyday, I’d lose my mind and probably my job.
