Fun Theme Park Re-Opens With New Rules And No Guarantee

Written by on May 26, 2020

Universal Studios in Orlando is going to reopen June 5th, but not without some new rules.

Face coverings, temperature checks, & hand sanitizer will be required and available. Attractions will also let guests select a time they want to ride to minimize time waiting in line. All smart moves.

What was interesting about the story isn’t so much that they’re opening or the new guidelines; it’s the phrase I think every other amusement parks are going to use that caught my eye.

In a statement Universal Orlando‘s policy states “Note that any public location where people are present provides an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 and we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed during your visit.” Very smart way to cover themselves legally. Something I could see theme parks in the Greater Rochester Area mimic.

Could that stand up in court? We’ll ask Al Parisi Wednesday Morning at 9am on the WDKX Water Cooler.
