2020 Tokyo Summer Games Postponed

Imagine training the last 3 years, if not longer for a chance to Win Gold at the 2020 Olympics. Unfortunately, it looks like that’s not going to happen. International Olympic Committee member Dick Pound announced the Summer Games in Tokyo will be postponed because of coronavirus pandemic.

The news doesn’t come as a surprise. Sunday IOC president Thomas Bach admitted, a postponement was a realistic outcome. Which is devastating to all of the athletes and coaches that have put in the years, blood and sweat.

Tokyo 2020 is the largest sporting event to be affected by the COVID-19 crisis which to this date had resulted in more than 15,000 deaths worldwide.
