Many are still mourning the unexpected death of basketball star Kobe Bryant, his daughter, and the seven other passengers who died in the helicopter crash. Several celebrities have made tributes to Bryant, and one of those celebrities is singer Brian McKnight, who has written a song in honor of Kobe.

The song is titled Can’t Say Goodbye, and McKnight sang it while playing his acoustic guitar in a video he posted on his Instagram page. McKnight says that the song practically wrote itself and that he doesn’t feel like he should take credit for it. The song is a tribute to Bryant and how McKnight wants to pay his respects and say goodbye, but he can’t bring himself to say the word.

McKnight is a huge Lakers fan as well as a fan of Bryant. However, the two also collaborated on a song in 1998. The song, titled Hold Me, features McKnight singing, with Bryant performing a rap solo towards the end of the song.

McKnight previously wrote a song that honors Bryant, as well as the rest of the Lakers in a song called I Love LA. The video included footage of Bryant playing basketball.
