Strong Museum Launches New Game to Aid in Fundraising

In an effort to fund a 100,000 square foot expansion project, The Strong National Museum of Play has launched a new internet game called Warp Speed. The object of the game is to collect all toys in the maze with your hovercraft and return them to The Strong before the time runs out!
There are three different levels of difficulty which become unlocked once you share the game on your social media page. This game is meant to help bring awareness to The Strong’s expansion plans. It’s actually pretty fun and borderline addictive. LOL!
This new game is part of their Powered by Play Campaign, an initiative to help raise funds and support the Neighborhood of Play. This neighborhood is set to become “a world-class destination to live, work, dine, shop, and play.” It will include apartments and town homes, hotel accommodations, shops, restaurants and, of course, the newly expanded Strong National Museum of Play.
“We are really creating a brand new neighborhood: the Neighborhood of Play. It’s been many years in the making, started when the city first announced that they were looking to fill in that section of the Inner Loop,” said the museum’s president and CEO, Steve Dubnik.
Construction of new hotels, apartments and parking garages have already begun, and expansion of The Strong is soon on its way. Take a look at the plans for their 100,000 expansion below!
