2.1 Magnitude Earthquake Occurred in Sodus Point

Did you happen to feel a little “rumble” while you were sleeping last night? Well, if you’re near the Sodus Point area then you actually might have!
Around 2:40 a.m. Wednesday morning, an earthquake was detected under Lake Ontario in Northeast Rochester.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the epicenter of the quake registered at about 1.4 miles deep and was several miles off the coast of Sodus Point.
No damages as a result of the quake have been reported at this time.
