On Wednesday, September 4th the WDKX Jam Squad made their way over to Taste Of The Bahamas restaurant located at 4705 Lake avenue, right by Charlotte Beach. The owners and staff had it in their hearts to host an impromptu benefit at their restaurant to raise money for those affected by the devastating hurricane Dorian.

Taste of the Bahamas accepted donations from restaurant visitors in exchange for raffle tickets, free hors devours, great music and some of their famous house-made lemonade. Donors were entered in a raffle for a chance to win a free dinner of their choice, even though the finger food spread was already on point! They featured fresh fruits and veggies, cheese and meat platters, and the best wings you’ve ever had in your life with the best dipping sauce to match! Can you tell how much I loved those wings? ??

The event brought out a great crowd! It was nice to see so many people with such kindness and generosity in their hearts, and none of this would have been possible without the efforts of Taste of the Bahamas restaurant. Check out their menu here and make sure you stop by 4705 Lake avenue for a great time and even better food!

P.S. Shout out to Channel 8 News, Ryan from Channel 13 News and Kaci Jones of WHEC10 for capturing this event to share with the public. ??
