PAB Now Accepting Applications

After the results from the primary election were so overwhelmingly in favor of the proposed Police Accountability Board, the Rochester City Council has opened the window for applicants who wish to serve in this new position. Applications will be accepted from now until Wednesday, November 27, 2019.

Although the police union is fighting the move in court, City Council continues to push forward in an effort to conduct more investigations on complaints of police brutality and misconduct. In total, the Police Accountability Board will contain nine volunteer members. Of these members, four will be appointed by Rochester City Council, three appointed by the Police Accountability Board Alliance and one by Mayor Lovely Warren.
