John Legend has become the first black man and on of the youngest to earn the coveted EGOT status.
What is an EGOT in the entertainment industry?
It’s kind of like getting a Five-By-Five in basketball – damn near unheard of and only a select few individuals have achieved the status.
EGOT is an acronym for the awards Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony.
John Legend won an Emmy Sunday night which catapulted him into the elite EGOT pool where only 12 people have ever won.
