Jason Derulo has broken his silence on the 2023 sexual harassment lawsuit filed against him by former Ceraadi singer Emaza Dilan. During an interview with Graham Bensinger, Derulo stated that the case damaged his reputation. He claims it has cost him millions while changing how he works in the industry.

According to reports from The Blast, the lawsuit was dismissed twice in different states, though Dilan recently refiled the case in New York. Derulo said the experience made him fearful of working alone with women. He also described some of the allegations as “not even slightly believable,” adding that the damage to his name hurt more than the financial loss.

Emaza Dilan Pushes Back On Claims Her Lawsuit Was Dismissed

Emaza Dilan is speaking out after Jason Derulo claimed her lawsuit had been dismissed. In a social media caption, Emaza denied the claim, writing, “The case was not dismissed.”

She added that the link to follow the case would remain in her bio. Emaza went on to explain that multiple court documents show the defendants were officially served and given deadlines to respond. She noted that several parties waived service arguments, meaning they cannot later challenge jurisdiction.

According to Emaza, filings confirm Jason Derulo and Future History received the lawsuit and must submit responses by court deadlines. Additional documents show Atlantic Records was also granted more time to respond, while being barred from disputing jurisdiction.

She addressed confusion about the case’s status, explaining it was dismissed in California due to a technicality. Emaza stated the lawsuit was refiled in New York, as required under her contract with Atlantic Records, and remains active. Emaza also pointed to the official New York court docket, saying it shows the case is “VERY MUCH ongoing.”She added that the allegations and breach of contract claims remain unchanged.
