Toledo Surgical Resident Charged After Allegedly Administering Abortion Drugs Without Consent

Ohio surgical resident Hassan-James Abbas allegedly obtained abortion pills using his estranged wife’s identity, then forcibly put the crushed drugs into his girlfriend’s mouth while she slept, ending her pregnancy.
She escaped and called 911.
Abbas later admitted to ordering and crushing the medication.
His medical license was suspended, and he faces multiple felony charges, with arraignment scheduled for Dec. 19.
