News10NBC Investigates: E-ZPass Charges Hit Rochester Residents Due to Duplicate NYSP Plates

Written by on November 18, 2025

Rochester residents are wrongly receiving E-ZPass charges from NYC due to license plate duplication with NY State Police vehicles. State Senator Jeremy Cooney is pressing DMV and State Police for urgent fixes. Cooney labeled the issue an affordability crisis and is demanding quick action to prevent future billing errors.
