Red Wings & Vision Auto Group Host Free Home Run Derby on Sept. 30

The Rochester Red Wings and Vision Automotive Group will stage the second annual Rochester Home Run Derby at Innovative Field on Tuesday, Sept. 30. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., first pitch at 6 p.m., and tickets are free at Vision’s Rochester-area dealerships. The first 1,000 attendees receive a complimentary hot dog and ice cream sandwich. Expect a family-friendly night with high school and college sluggers competing alongside local celebrities, plus giveaways ranging from T-shirts and Red Wings gear to free oil changes, inspection tags, a year of Dairy Queen Blizzards, and a year of Salvatore’s pizza. Special guest Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin will emcee, toss out prizes, and host a meet-and-greet autograph session. Organizers say the event celebrates community, closes the amateur baseball season in style, and builds on last year’s energy.
