Written by on April 9, 2025

Universal Orlando Resort is set to unveil Epic Universe, its third and most technologically advanced theme park, on May 22, 2025. Spanning 750 acres, it features five immersive zones connected by a central hub, Celestial Park. Visitors can explore worlds themed around “How to Train Your Dragon,” Super Nintendo, Universal Monsters, and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter—each completely self-contained to preserve full immersion. Epic Universe introduces cutting-edge attractions like the omnidirectional “Harry Potter: Battle at the Ministry” ride and “Monsters Unchained,” utilizing state-of-the-art robotics and AR. With ticket prices ranging from $139 to $199, and additional express pass options, the park positions itself as a direct competitor to Disney. Industry experts predict over 6 million visitors in its first year, with some forecasting it may disrupt the usual family itinerary favoring Disney World.
