Dr. Shaun Nelms, Vice President for Community Partnerships at the University of Rochester, is joined by Dr. Francisco Cartujano from the Wilmot Cancer Institute in recognition of Lung Cancer Awareness Month this November. Their discussion centers on smoking cessation, highlighting the critical role, it plays in reducing the risk of lung cancer, which is the second most common cancer in both men and women in the U.S. Listeners will gain insights into the many benefits of quitting smoking, along with practical strategies, programs, and interventions that can support success. Dr. Nelms and Dr. Cartujano will also discuss the Wilmot Cancer Institute’s ongoing collaboration with the community to reduce the future burden of cancer.
