State launches audit of Frontier Communications
Written by Site Hub on November 15, 2024
The New York State Public Service Commission has initiated an audit of Frontier Communications Parent, Inc. following concerns about service quality, missed payments, and possible delays in broadband expansion. The commission cited Frontier’s failure to meet performance standards, report issues to state regulators, and address potential network reliability concerns. Additionally, Frontier’s slow infrastructure work on utility poles may be hindering regional broadband growth. The audit aims to assess ongoing service quality issues and determine any necessary corrective actions to ensure Frontier delivers adequate service. An independent consultant will be appointed to lead the audit, with selection anticipated in early 2025.
