Walgreens is Closing its West Main Location Leaving Some Residents in the Area Stuck

The southwest side of Rochester gets hit with another blow as the Walgreens on West Main St is closing down.

City leaders say this will leave that area of Rochester a medical desert for those that relied on that store to pick up prescriptions, if they don’t have transportation the next closest Walgreens will be the Monroe Avenue.

A few years ago the Walgreens on Thurston & Brooks Avenue closed down.
