East Irondequoit CSD administrator arrested, accused of showing gun during ‘incident’ in Webster

Mark Anson, the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction in the East Irondequoit Central School District, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly displaying a gun during a roadside incident in Webster, New York. According to New York State Police, the incident began as a vehicle and traffic complaint on Route 104 and continued onto Boston Road. Anson, 47, faces charges of menacing in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree. He was arrested and later released, as confirmed by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

In response, East Irondequoit Superintendent Mary Grow issued a statement to families, acknowledging the incident but refraining from further comment due to the ongoing investigation. She assured the community that the district is taking the situation seriously and monitoring developments closely.
