Celebration of life announced for Greece teacher who died in accident

Funeral services have been announced for Jillian Branciforte, a beloved teacher from the Greece Central School District who passed away in an accident on Friday. The district has not provided further details about the accident. Branciforte, an English and new language teacher at Greece Olympia High School, was remembered fondly by her students, who held a private vigil over the weekend to honor her.
A celebration of life and visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 11, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bartolomeo & Perotto Funeral Home on Vintage Lane. In lieu of flowers, the community is encouraged to make memorial donations to Greece Olympia High School or St. John Fisher University. Branciforte’s passing has deeply affected the community, and she is remembered for her special impact on her students.
