Written by on August 2, 2024

Maya Rudolph is set to reprise her Emmy-winning role as Kamala Harris on “Saturday Night Live” (SNL) this fall, covering the 2024 presidential campaign. Rudolph first portrayed Vice President Harris in 2019 during Harris’s run in the 2020 presidential election. Following her appearance, Harris expressed appreciation on social media, sharing a GIF of Rudolph and captioning it with, “No one is above the law!” Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, also praised Rudolph’s performance.

Rudolph continued to portray Harris on SNL after the 2020 election, including a notable hosting stint in March 2021, which earned her another Emmy for Guest Actress in a Comedy Series. Currently, Rudolph is nominated for four Emmys, including Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for “Loot” and Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her recent hosting role on SNL.
