Worker hit and killed in manhole at Rochester gas station

On May 25, 2024, a 51-year-old worker was fatally struck while working in a manhole at a gas station located at Lyell Avenue and Mt. Read Boulevard in Rochester, NY. The incident occurred when a 45-year-old driver, who drove into the gas station parking lot around 11:30 a.m., accidentally hit the worker, who was obscured by the manhole.
