Busta Rhymes Joins Cast of ‘Naked Gun’ Reboot

Rap legend Busta Rhymes has joined the cast of the upcoming “Naked Gun” reboot, set for release on July 18, 2025. Alongside Rhymes, the film will feature Liza Koshy, WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, and CCH Pounder. Previously confirmed cast members include Liam Neeson as Detective Frank Drebin, Pamela Anderson, Paul Walter Hauser as his partner Ed, Kevin Durand, and Danny Huston, with Durand rumored to play the villain.

The original “Naked Gun” franchise, starring Leslie Nielsen, is known for its comedic take on crime-solving. The series has grossed over $477 million with its three films: “The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!” (1988), “The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear” (1991), and “Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult” (1994).

Busta Rhymes, besides his music career, has an extensive acting portfolio, including roles in “Higher Learning,” “Shaft,” and “Halloween: Resurrection.” This summer, he will tour with Missy Elliott, Ciara, and Timbaland in “OUT OF THIS WORLD — The Missy Elliott Experience,” starting July 4.
