Rochester residents are encouraged to attend a Disaster Preparation Training Course aimed at equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to respond to and recover from disasters. The training, provided by the New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps, will cover essential steps and supplies needed for both natural and man-made disasters. Mayor Malik Evans highlighted the importance of being prepared for disaster situations to ensure safety, protect loved ones, and minimize damage. Participants of the training will also receive a free New York State Disaster Preparedness Kit, which includes items useful in the aftermath of a disaster. The course will be held at the David F. Gantt R-Center at 700 North Street on April 25 at 6 p.m.
