NYS Primary Elections

Today is the primary election day in New York State, including several significant races. The polls will be open from 6am to 9pm.

Candidates will be competing for nominations in seven districts of the Monroe County Legislature.There are Democratic nominations at stake for four seats in the Rochester City Council and four positions in the city school board.In the race for the Rochester Board of Education, seven Democratic candidates are contending for four nominations.

Additionally, there are other important races, such as the Working Families Party nomination for Monroe County Family Court judge, the Democratic Party nomination for Rochester City Court judge, and town races in Brighton, Irondequoit, Penfield, Pittsford, Perinton, Rush, and Wheatland.

Monroe County has reported that 3,534 residents participated in early voting, which concluded on Sunday.
