I can remember exactly where I was on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. It was a school day and I was in Ms. Perlo’s 4th grade class. I remember the day being kind of chaotic, there was an anxious energy in the air and no one knew what was to come.

Being the ripe old age of 8 years old, I had no idea why any of this was happening. Then I saw, right there on the TV screen, I saw the two towers burn and crumble to the ground. I didn’t understand that I had just witnessed one of the deadliest terrorist attacks on American soil

The September 11th attacks caused the deaths of nearly 3,000 Americans that day, many more perished due to cancer and respiratory diseases related to the attacks. Over 6,000 firefighters, soldiers, officers and civilians were injured and the cost of the damage totaled over $10 billion.

Whether you lost family, friends or are dealing with any injuries or emotional trauma, our prayers go out to you and the many Americans affected by this deadly attack.
