6 teens arrested after ‘night of chaos’ in Pittsford

Six teenagers were arrested after a “night of chaos” involving stolen vehicles in Pittsford, New York, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The events began late Friday night when a deputy spotted a damaged Kia, suspected of being stolen, leaving St. John Fisher University. The driver fled by speeding across lawns. Over the next few hours, police discovered several stolen vehicles, including a Kia Sportage and a Hyundai Elantra, abandoned in different locations.

The situation escalated when a Toyota nearly hit deputies and crashed into a tree. Five teenagers were arrested at the scene, and a sixth was found with the help of a K9 unit. The group, ages 14 to 16, were charged with unauthorized vehicle use and released after evaluation. In total, seven vehicles were either stolen or targeted.
