Niecy Nash To Host At Least Half Of Season 5 Of ‘The Masked Singer’

After she appeared as a guest judge during season 4 of The Masked Singer, Niecy Nash will be taking over for at least half of season 5 since host Nick Cannon contracted COVID-19 back in September.
Executive producer James Green gave a statement, telling the world how he felt about having Nash on the show:
“She had chemistry with the panel — she was just a producer’s dream…She was absolutely fantastic.”
Cannon has since recovered and quarantined, but because of the timeframe that the episodes were filmed, Nash will be hosting through most of the first half of season 5.
Executive Producer Craig Plestis also decided that they go “above and beyond” CDC regulations to make sure that everyone had a safe environment to work in.
