4 People Scammed Insurance Companies $141k with Fake Bear Attack Claim

Four people from Southern California have been arrested for scamming insurance companies out of over $141,000 claiming a fake bear attack on the luxury cars.

Video was submitted with claim and after an investigation it was determined that the claim was fraud and there was a person dressed up in a bear costume, it was also determined the bear scratches did not match actual bear claws and bears typically leaves behind traces of saliva, urine and hair none were found inside any of the vehicles.

Detectives found a bear costume inside one of the suspects homes.
