Written by on June 6, 2020

At 9:10 A.M on Friday June 5, A 737 Kalitta Air cargo jet carrying DHL Freight veered off the tarmac and onto the grass off of the Greater Rochester International Airport’s north-south runway intersection.
There were no passengers aboard the flight and the two pilots were unharmed. The company has not released a statement yet as to why the plane ended up in the grass and it is uncertain whether or not the plane was damaged in any way.
Airport officials quickly closed the runways while crews attended cleared the plane from the tarmac. Officials also released a statement, saying that they would reopen flights as soon as possible.
