18-hour pistol permit class to take over Kodak Center this weekend

This weekend, The Firing Pin and the Rochester African American Firearms Association will host an 18-hour New York Pistol Class at the Kodak Center in Rochester, NY. The course, scheduled for January 18 and 19 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day, costs $149 and aims to provide comprehensive firearm education.
Topics will include firearm safety, maintenance, cleaning, safe storage, New York-specific firearm laws, situational awareness, and proper interactions with law enforcement. Brandon Lewis, owner of The Firing Pin, emphasized the course’s value, noting that even experienced gun owners gain new insights.
Certified instructor Paul Adell Jr. highlighted the class’s affordability, making it accessible to those who might not afford pricier options or manage scheduling conflicts. Participants must be 21 or older, and lunch is included.
